The Ministry of Municipality and Environment, represented by the Department of Mechanical Equipment, has participated in the first Transport and Engineering Conference& Exhibition through a special pavilion for mechanical equipment. The Conference was organized by Qatar Society of Engineers throughout the period from 4th to 6th October.
Yesterday (Monday), Eng. Marzouk Al-Kawari participated in the discussion panels of the Conference, as he proposed the theme of ?Improving the Diesel-Powered Equipment and the related Environment Impact?, while today (Tuesday), Eng. Reda Al-Sayed participated with his theme revolving around ?Tires and its Impact on Transport Engineering?.
The visitors of the pavilion were introduced to the roles and duties of the Department and its growth throughout the years, considering the fact that it is one of the oldest governmental technical public service in the State. The Department offers logistic support to all departments and municipalities affiliated to the MME through procuring various machines and equipment. It also delivers (daily ? routine ? preventative) maintenance and repair services.
Furthermore, Eng. Marzouk Sultan Al-Kawari extended his participation in the Conference through a workpaper covering the enhancement and improvement of the Ministry? Fleet ?EURO?. The workpaper was dedicated for the study of EURO 3 diesel engines. The paper provided the definition of EURO engines, EURO refers to a European Organization that works on decreasing the exhaust emission rates through adding the AdBlue solution for EURO 5, 6, and 6 engines, all in effort to preserve, specifically, the human health and, generally, the environment. This development seeks to achieve the fourth pillar (Environmental Development) of QNV 2030.
