DOHA – The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) held a press conference Wednesday to unveil all organisational and technical measures that been taken ahead of its second edition of 2022 Beach Games, which will be held from 19th to 25th March at Cultural Village Katara.
The 2022 Beach Games Director, Mr. Rashid Adiba gave a welcoming speech, reviewing the objectives of the Games, participating teams , organisational and administrative measures that being taken ahead of these games.
On Wednesday’s press conference which is attended by members of the organising committee and media representatives Mr. Adiba said" By hosting this community event, the QOC aims at taking the sport community to new grounds and building up standards of physical and social health for local society individuals”.
“ Beach games lovers and amateurs have been invited by the QOC to register their names and details via a link set up on the QOC official website and social media accounts, that to get confirmation for participation in the Games”.
“ Approximately a total of 560 to 600 participants (Men and Women) will be competing in five beach sports for individuals and teams including football, volleyball , 3x3 basketball, swimming marathon and Karate.” Added Mr. Adiba.
In the same context, Mr Mana Ahmed Al-jel , Head of Technical Committee said: “ We truly grateful to play a vital role and making this community event successful and more effective”.
“ We will spare no effort to provide all logistic and administrative services that will help the tournament reaching its objectives and benefiting the entire sport sector, on this occasion we give letter of thanks to all sponsors and sport federations for their effective contributions and services” Al-jel added.
The QOC Beach Games, is a community activity will help promoting these sort of games inside the Qatari society, to keep the country's unparalleled success going on after hosted the 2019 ANOC Beach Games in Doha.
The tournament is one of the community events and activities organized by the QOC annually to take all individuals of the society to greater standards of health and physical fitness.
A number of educational and cultural programs are campaigning together for sustainability throughout (Water is Life) to serve the community and urging every single citizen and resident to preserve the Qatar’s environment and tourist beaches will go side by side with the Games.
The second edition of 2022 QOC Beach Games right now receiving a solid support from a number of local organizations, including Cultural Village Katara (official sponsor) , along with the Kobeqo (Official Logistic sponsor) , A & H ( Official Supplier) and Eland Print (Official Supplier).
