Qatar Foundation's (QF) Stars of Science will launch its 16th season next Saturday on a number of TV channels and online platforms. Seven contestants from across the Arab world will join the Stars of Science studios at QF's Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP), a hub of technology-based entrepreneurship Over the course of 12 weeks, contestants will develop, refine and test their innovations and present their solutions through scientific experiments amidst a shared innovation space and guidance and support provided by a team of experienced engineers and product developers in hopes of claiming the Top Arab Innovator title and grand prize. A committee of experts evaluates and selects the promising innovators' projects and prototypes each week through testing rounds until three candidates remain competing for the title and grand prize. The qualifiers are based on the deliberations of the jury as well as online public voting to determine the first and second place in each season. Since its inception in 200 9, Stars of Science supported and inspired the talent of a generation of Arab innovators in facing regional and global challenges and transforming their ideas into solutions based on scientific foundations that serve all areas of life starting, from developing healthcare systems and sustainable technologies to artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation. Throughout its run, the program's participants managed to achieve distinctive successes through innovations that reached the globe. QF's Stars of Science represents a pioneering educational reality TV program in the field of innovation. It established itself as the forefront of programs that best enable innovators from various Arab countries to transform innovative ideas into tangible solutions, thus establishing a culture of innovation among Arab youth.
