Storm Daniel Kills at Least 12 in Libya

Libyan authorities announced Tuesday the death of 12 people, in a preliminary toll, as a result of torrents and floods caused by Storm Daniel after it struck several areas in the east of the country.

A total of 12 deaths due to the torrential rains reached Al Bayda Medical Center, Libyan News Agency reported, noting that the deaths were from the eastern cities of Al Bayda and Shahhat.

Head of Libya's Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dabaiba announced earlier today that all municipalities that were exposed to torrents and floods in the east of the country are disaster areas.
