Muscat, Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of the Sultanate of Oman has received a written message from Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of Sudan Gen. Abdul Fattah Al Burhan, pertaining to relations between the two countries. The message was handed over to Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, when he met in Muscat today with Envoy of the Chairman of Sudan's Sovereignty Council, Sudanese acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Hussein Awad. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the bilateral relations and means of promoting them in various areas to serve the joint interests. They also touched on the developments in Sudan and stressed the importance of the efforts made to make dialogue and wisdom prevail for the supreme interests of the Sudanese people and realizing their aspirations of security, stability and development.
