Damascus, Prime Minister Hussein Arnous discussed Monday with the Chargé d'affaires of the Iraqi Embassy in Damascus, Yassin Sharif Al-Hajimi, means to develop bilateral relations in various fields, particularly economic, industrial, commercial, transportation, exchanging products and goods needed by the markets of the two countries, as well as strengthening the work of the Syrian-Iraqi Joint Committee. Arnous stessed the keenness of the Syrian government to put the agreements and memorandums of understanding signed between the two sides into effect to achieve a kind of integration between the economies of the two countries that contributes to the development of joint work and opens new horizons for bilateral relations in the benefit of the peoples of the two brotherly countries. For his part, al-Hajimi expressed his country's willingness to expand bilateral cooperation and take benefits of the Syrian economy advantages, noting the importance of intensifying joint efforts to find solutions to the difficult ies that impede the development of economic relations and trade.
