Idleb, Syrian-Italian archaeological mission at Ebla archaeological site began on Thursday, its first season of excavation work after a thirteen-year hiatus due to the terrorist war on Syria. The archaeological site of Ebla is registered on UNESCO World Heritage List During a field visit to the site, Dr. Davide Nadali from the Italian mission presented to Dr. Lubana Mashouh, Minister of Culture, an explanation of the mission's work plan, which will employ young Syrian researchers to complete the planned work. In turn, the Director of Excavation at the General Directorate of Antiquities and Museums, Dr. Hammam Saad, reviewed the damage that affected the site due to terrorist war on Syria.
