In direct violation of UN Security Council Resolution 497, which confirms that all the Israeli practices in Syrian Golan are null and void, Israel is preparing bulldozers to raze the left homes of Ain Fiet village whose people were forcebly displaced, aiming at transforming the place into a military base.
Syrian people in the Occupied Golan underlined that the Israeli scheme to bulldoze homes in Ain Fiet village is categorically rejected.
“This Zionist entity aims to obliterate the national identity, establish a military outpost on our lands and Judaize them,” they stated, stressing their adherence to their lands and to the Syrian identity in the face of the Israeli practices including arbitrary arrests and systemic oppression.
The Israeli occupation destroyed Ain Fiet, one of the most beautiful villages in the Syrian Golan, following its aggression in 1967 along with more than 240 villages . Nearly 131,000 people living there were forcebly displaced, with only 7,000 population remained in 6 other villages, namely, Majdal Shams and Masa’da, Baqatha, Ain Qunya, Ghajar, and Sahita.
Later on, the Israeli occupation destroyed Sahita village, turning it into a military post and forcing its people to abandon their village and move to Masa’da.
