DOHA - Qatar’s Tijan Ahmed and Abdullah Nasim have been drawn in Group A of the West Asia Beach Volleyball tournament which gets underway at the Aspire Courts from Saturday.
The other teams in Qatar’s group are Syria and Saudi Arabia. Palestine, Oman, Iraq and Jordan make up Group B.
The draw for the event was held in Doha on Friday with representatives from the seven participating teams in attendance.
Qatar take on Saudi Arabia in their first match on Saturday, with the contest against Syria scheduled for Sunday.
The top two teams from each group qualify for the last four. The final and the third place play-off match are scheduled for Monday.
