Team Qatar to look for new glory in FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Sochi

SOCHI, Russia,– Qatar’s first beach volleyball team duo Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tajin will begin their campaign in the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour 2021 in the Russian city of Sochi on Thursday.

The Tour will last until May 30 and brings together 62 teams from 27 countries to compete for the top honors. Team Qatar duo will lock horns against Norwegian opponents in the phase three of the main rounds.

The national team’s participation in the Main Draw Tournament of the Sochi World Tour comes as it is ranked seventh in the world with 5280 points, according to the latest classification of the International Beach Volleyball Federation (FIVB).

The team is looking forward to progressing in the world rankings of national teams through its participation in the Russian Sochi and Czech Ostrava rounds, before its next participation in the Tokyo Olympic Games, after the International Federation announced on its official website that 13 teams guaranteed direct qualification for the Olympiad « Tokyo », among them I support the beach plane, which is currently ranked fifth.
