Ten thousand students and 400 teachers were martyred in the Gaza war and 39 thousand were deprived of high school

Palestinian Minister of Education / Amjad Barham / announced that ten thousand students and 400 teachers were martyred in the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7. Amjad Barham said today, Monday, at a conference announcing the results of the first round of high school exams in the West Bank without the Gaza Strip: "39 thousand high school students from the Gaza Strip did not take the high school exams this year due to the ongoing Israeli occupation aggression since October 7." He added: The occupation has confiscated the right to life of ten thousand school and university students in the Gaza Strip, "including 450 high school students, in addition to the martyrdom of 400 teachers," noting that about 50 thousand male and female students from the West Bank, and those in some countries including Turkey, Qatar, Romania, Bulgaria, and Russia, have taken the high school exam. According to the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, 20 high school students were martyred in the West Bank durin g the academic year that began last August, and the occupation prevented 55 students from taking the high school exams due to their arrest. According to official and international data, the occupation has completely destroyed 116 schools and 331 schools partially, and targeted more than 150 schools affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), which have been transformed into shelters for the displaced, out of 228 schools affiliated with the agency in the Gaza Strip.
