Botan Dzeyi, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Iraq in the Kingdom of Morocco, discussed with Salim bin Mohammed Al-Malik, Director General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), ways to enhance cooperation between Iraq and ISESCO in the fields of education, science and culture. A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: "During the meeting held at ISESCO headquarters in Rabat, Dzeyi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the organization and its Director General for donating a large number of its publications to the library of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as for the fruitful cooperation with Iraqi authorities in the cultural, scientific and educational fields." For his part, Al-Malik stressed ISESCO's keenness to enhance cooperation with Iraq in areas of common interest, and called for Iraq's participation in conferences and activities organized by the organization, in line with its forward-looking vision and strategic orientations . The meeting, which was attended by Dr. Abdelilah Ben Arafa, Deputy Director General of ISESCO, discussed current cooperation programs and projects between ISESCO and Iraq, in addition to proposing proposals for future programs and projects, especially in the cultural field. At the end of the meeting, ISESCO's Director General handed over certificates of registration of a number of Iraqi historical sites and cultural elements on the lists of heritage in the Islamic world.
