Istanbul, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi confirmed that his country and Turkey share the vision of the necessity of a ceasefire in Gaza and that the way to solve the Palestinian issue is the two-state solution. The Chinese Foreign Minister said during a joint press conference with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan today in Beijing: China and Turkey share the same vision regarding a ceasefire in Gaza, which is subject to Israeli attacks, and regarding protecting peace and stability in the Middle East, Wang Yi called for strengthening coordination between China and Turkey and accelerating their efforts to reach "a just and lasting solution to the Palestinian issue as soon as possible." The Chinese Foreign Minister called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, "Improving the humanitarian situation, and releasing of all prisoners," stressing the necessity of "ensuring a ceasefire in Gaza and that the way to solve the Palestinian issue is the two-state solution." He stressed that Beijing and Ankara support Pa lestine's membership in the United Nations and achieving consensus and internal reconciliation there. The Chinese minister noted that his country and Turkey also share the same opinion regarding "strengthening strategic communication and protecting international justice," and that Turkey and China are giant developing countries and representatives of emerging market economies. He stressed the need for Ankara and Beijing to strengthen their bilateral cooperation within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and other multilateral organizations, and 'oppose all types of hegemony and power politics and advance global governance to a fair level.'
