The representative of the Governor of Kirkuk, the technical assistant, Ali Hammadi, discussed with the delegation of the International Organization for Turkish Culture, headed by Kamal On, the first advisor to the Secretary-General of the organization, the historical status of Kirkuk and its culture that embodies the commonalities and coexistence of its components.
During the meeting, opportunities for cooperation in consolidating the cultural and historical reality of the province were discussed in accordance with the vision of the federal government and the keenness of the Ministry of Culture and the promotion of cultural cooperation to strengthen historical relations between the two neighboring peoples, and organizing of joint projects to highlight the cultural heritage of Kirkuk and introduce it to the Turkish people.
The delegation of the organization expressed its admiration for the progress witnessed by the province of Kirkuk with regard to development, security, coexistence, and the operation of the international airport, and affirmed the country's continued support for Iraq and its brotherly people, especially for Kirkuk, in the educational and cultural fields.
They pointed out the importance of these areas in enhancing cooperation, communication and cohesion between the peoples of the region in a way that serves the two neighboring countries.
