Last November, the Ministry of the Municipality and the Environment, represented by the Agricultural quarantine offices of the Agricultural Affairs Department, detected 5486 shipments of 117,350 tons of all types of imported agricultural dispatches (plant shipments, products, production inputs) throughout all customs ports in the country. One shipment of 35.03 tons was destroyed for violation of the Plant Quarantine Act and for the severe infection of quarantine and non-quarantine pests.
