Baghdad , The head of the Iraqi Football Association, Adnan Darjal, met yesterday, Monday, with the head of the French Football Federation, Philippe Diallo, in his official office at the Federation's headquarters in Paris, in the presence of Ambassador Wadih Batti, Iraq's Ambassador to France. The Football Association stated in a statement, "The meeting exchanged views on ways to develop and deepen relations between the two sides in the field of women's football and talent sponsorship, in addition to other fields." Darjal stressed "the Iraqi Association's determination to open a broad page of cooperation within a long-term strategy with the French Federation in line with the government's orientations and the special support that Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa al-Sudani gives to the youth and sports sector in general, and to the Football Association in particular." For his part, Diallo expressed the French Federation's "readiness and sincere desire to cooperate," noting that he will send to the Iraqi side a draft of the memorandum of understanding that will frame this cooperation to study it and agree on its final form in order to sign it in Baghdad as soon as possible."
