The head of the Iraqi Turkmen Front and the head of the National Wisdom Movement discuss the situation in Kirkuk

The head of the Iraqi Turkmen Front, head of the United Iraqi Turkmen Front list, Hassan Turan, met with the head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, in the capital, Baghdad. During the meeting, which was attended by Faryad Tuzlu, head of the Turkmen Loyalty Movement, the political developments at the national level were reviewed, and the files and issues of mutual interest were discussed, and the emphasis was placed on strengthening the partnership and meeting the needs and aspirations of the Iraqi people. During the meeting, the crisis of forming the local government in Kirkuk and the deliberate exclusion of the Turkmen component were discussed, and Turan renewed his categorical rejection of unilateral policies, stressing that the people of Kirkuk are not ready to go back through exclusionary policies. During the meeting, Ammar al-Hakim stressed his full support for achieving the legitimate demands of the Turkmen component, which serve the democratic process and consolidate peace and coexist ence between the components. Turan called on the national forces to take into account the specificity of the province, and to deal with it with a national spirit and high responsibility, especially at the current stage, and that the Kirkuk issue is greater than quotas and positions, but rather it is a national issue and a guarantee for the security and stability of Iraq and the region, and the participation of all the sons of Kirkuk's components in its administration must be guaranteed according to the mechanisms approved by the constitution and national legislation.
