The Iraqi National Security Service carried out qualitative operations today, Saturday, to protect the economic and health security of the citizen. The Iraqi National Security Service stated in a statement that: Within the framework of the comprehensive strategy of the National Security Service to protect national security and the safety of citizens, the INSS's forces carried out a series of preemptive operations in the capital, Baghdad, and a number of governorates. It pointed out that "the operations resulted in the following results: 1. Seizing (1,778,593) smuggled medicine boxes, and thwarting attempts to introduce them into the local market. 2. Confiscating and destroying approximately (8) tons of spoiled food, which prevented them from reaching the markets and threatening public health. 3. Destroying more than (11) thousand liters of food and cleaning products that do not meet the specifications and are unfit for consumption. 4. Implementing a comprehensive security campaign that led to: - Closin g 16 shops and a health center in violation of the law. - Arresting 21 people involved in criminal activities that affect the economic and health security of the country. The necessary legal measures have been taken against the accused and they have been referred to the competent judicial authorities to receive their just punishment. The INSS confirms its continued implementation of its operations with all firmness and effectiveness to protect the security of the homeland and citizens from any economic or health threats, and calls on citizens to cooperate with the security services and report any suspicious activities.
