The Intelligence Agency tightens its grip on a human and drug trafficking gang in Baghdad

Baghdad, The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency tightened its grip on a human and drug trafficking gang consisting of (4) defendants, including a woman, in Baghdad. A statement by the agency stated that its units specialized in combating human trafficking had monitored information indicating that there was a woman who intended to sell her minor daughter to a gang specialized in human trafficking and narcotic substances in exchange for giving her a quantity of drugs. A technical intelligence work team was formed, to verify the accuracy of the information, and to arrest the accused along with her victim. It explained that when interrogating them, she frankly admitted her intention to sell her minor daughter to a gang of three defendants in exchange for giving her a quantity of narcotic substances. After obtaining due judicial approvals, the whereabouts of the defendants were raided and they were arrested, and seized weapons of various kinds, narcotic substances, and drugs in their possession.
