Baghdad, The Israeli army announced on Wednesday that it raided Hezbollah targets in 6 areas of southern Lebanon last night. The Israeli army said in its statement, 'During hours last night, warplanes raided Hezbollah military buildings in Kafr Kila, Aita al-Shaab, Khiam, and Maroun al-Ras. They also targeted Hezbollah structures in Houla and Aitaroun, southern Lebanon.' The statement added, "IDF forces attacked Tayr Harfa and Al-Jebin to remove a potential threat." Hezbollah and Israel have been exchanging fire across the border since October 8, and the party's Secretary-General says that the southern Lebanon front is a front in support of Gaza. Hezbollah has also repeatedly stressed that the ceasefire in Gaza alone ends its attacks on Israel. The fighting has intensified in recent weeks, with Hezbollah escalating its attacks on northern Israel, while the Israeli army carried out raids deep into Lebanon. Hezbollah had launched 6 explosive drones from Lebanon towards northern Israel, 5 of which exploded in the Upper Galilee and caused damage, according to what Israeli media reported. The Israeli army also announced on Tuesday that two reserve officers, with the rank of major, were killed in the explosion of a raid launched by Hezbollah from southern Lebanon in the previous day.
