The new Kuwaiti government, headed by Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, was sworn in before the Emir of Kuwait. During the constitutional swearing-in ceremony, the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, said: 'We continue to follow the paths of reform that we have accepted and to consolidate the principles of justice, transparency, and frankness that we have pursued.'
