Minister of Transport Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi discussed with the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq Anil Bora Inan, joint transportation projects between the two countries. A statement by the media office of the Ministry stated: "Al-Saadawi received the Turkish Ambassador today, Sunday, and discussed with him enhancing joint cooperation in various transportation fields between Iraq and Turkey." He added: "Al-Saadawi stressed the Ministry's keenness to complete strategic transportation projects, especially the development road and the Grand Faw Port, due to their importance in strengthening the economy of Iraq, the region and the world." The statement indicated that: "The Minister of Transport reviewed the completion rates of the two projects, noting the support of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani for the ministry to complete them within the specified timeframes." The meeting reviewed, according to the statement, the importance of the visit of the Turkish Minister of Transport to Baghdad last month. For his part, the Turkish Ambassador praised the good reception and hospitality, appreciating the work of the Ministry and its keenness to complete the requirements of the Development Road Project, stressing that his country's government is working to prepare all logistical matters to make the project a success.
