The Ministry of Migration and Displacement sent a special committee today, Wednesday, to support and assist Iraqis residing in Turkish territory who wish to return. The ministry stated in a statement that: "Based on the directives of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, a special committee was formed headed by the Ministry of Migration and membership of the Ministries of Interior and Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister's Office, and sent to Turkey to assist Iraqis residing there who wish to return voluntarily and who have lost documents, in addition to authenticating marriage contracts and proving lineage." The statement explained that "the committee began its work through three teams in the Iraqi embassy in the capital, Ankara, and its consulates in Gaziantep and Istanbul to register them and provide assistance to them," noting: "The ministry will follow up on the implementation of the committee's decisions with the Prime Minister's Office, the Supreme Judicial Council, and the ministerial bodies co ncerned with implementing requests and solving these problems."
