Baghdad, The National Security Agents Council held its fifth session for the year 2024, headed by the National Security Advisor, Qasim Al-Araji, and in the presence of the Council members. According to a statement by the National Security Chencellry, the Council discussed 'the topics on the agenda and took the necessary decisions and recommendations regarding them.' The statement added, "The Council discussed (the vision for the responsibilities and powers of the National Operations Center) and approved a paper describing the tasks and responsibilities of the center." The session also witnessed 'the presentation and discussion of a draft (memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of human rights between the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Iraq and the Ministry of Justice of the Islamic Republic of Iran), which was approved, and the Minister of Justice was delegated the authority to negotiate and sign.'
