The occupation arrests 28 citizens from the West Bank

Bethlehem - Ma'an - From yesterday evening until Sunday morning, the Israeli occupation forces arrested at least 28 citizens from the West Bank, including children and former prisoners.

The Prisoners' Club and the Prisoners' and Ex-Prisoners' Affairs Authority said in a joint statement that the arrest operations were concentrated in the Bethlehem governorate, while the rest of the arrests were distributed among the governorates of Jenin, Ramallah, Qalqilya, Hebron, and Jericho. The occupation forces also continue to carry out widespread raids, torture, and beating attacks. Excruciating violence, threats against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread sabotage and destruction of citizens' homes.

The statement added that the total number of arrests after October 7 amounted to about (8,710), and this total includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.

It is worth mentioning that these arrest campaigns constitute the most prominent consistent and systematic policies used by the occupation forces, and they are also one of the most prominent tools of the (collective punishment) policy, which also constitutes a central tool for the occupation in targeting citizens, in light of the comprehensive aggression against our people and the ongoing genocide in Gaza. .
