The Palestinian government: 369 citizens were martyred during the past 24 hours by Israeli army fire

Baghdad - The Palestinian government revealed the death toll from the ongoing Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip, despite widespread international appeals for the necessity of concluding a truce to deliver urgent humanitarian aid to the Strip.

The government media office in Gaza announced in a statement that “the Israeli occupation killed 369 citizens, 81 of whom were in the safe southern areas, during the past 24 hours.”

The statement added: "The number of martyrs reached 3,785 and the wounded reached 12,493 as a result of the occupation's continued aggression against the Gaza Strip for the thirteenth day in a row."

The Gaza Strip has been subjected to Israeli land, sea and air bombardment since the Hamas movement and other Palestinian factions launched Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood” on October 7.

The Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, also called for a two-week humanitarian truce between Palestine and Israel.
