Baghdad, The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, met at the Baghdad Palace today, Monday, with the Chinese Ambassador to Iraq, Cui Wei. During the meeting, the President stressed, according to a statement by the Presidency of the Republic, the keenness to strengthen Iraqi-Chinese relations and the necessity of joint work in order to develop and consolidate them, indicating the importance of benefiting from China's experiences and expertise in the fields of industry, environment, agriculture and energy. He pointed to security and economic stability and its positive repercussions on building, reconstruction and investment plans, stressing Iraq's desire to maintain communication and build good relations with neighboring countries and the world. For his part, the Chinese ambassador renewed his country's support for Iraq's efforts to maintain its security and stability, and to continue working to enhance and develop the prospects for cooperation and joint work between the two friendly countries and peoples.
