The Qatari Cabinet Praises the Results of the Emir of the Country’s Official Visit to Iraq

The Qatari Cabinet praised today, Wednesday, the results of the official visit of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the country, to Iraq on the fifteenth of this month of June, which reflected the depth of the historical relations between the two countries.

The Council stated in a statement that Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, chaired the regular meeting that the Council held this morning at its headquarters in the Emiri Diwan.

The Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs said, at the beginning of the meeting, the cabinet praised the results of the official visit of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the country, to the brotherly Republic of Iraq on the fifteenth of this month, which reflected the depth of the historical and close brotherly relations between the two countries, and opened new horizons to expand and upgrade cooperation in various fields, in light of the agreements and memorandums of understanding signed during it.

The minister added that the council affirmed that the talks held by the Emir with Muhammad al-Sudani, Prime Minister of the brotherly Republic of Iraq, included, in addition to supporting and strengthening bilateral relations, the most prominent regional and international developments, especially developments in the region, which constituted a new starting point for the development of relations between the two countries and the promotion of understanding and the coordination between them is for the good of their two brotherly peoples, in a way that serves Arab issues and contributes to the development and stability of the region.”
