The State of Qatar participated in a virtual preparatory regional meeting for the 2023 conference to review the progress on the 2018-2028 as an International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development", which was held by Singapore's Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment. The meeting was chaired by Singapore's Minister of sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikstan Sirojiddin Muhriddin.

The State of Qatar was represented in the meeting by HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Singapore Saoud bin Jassim Al Jufairi.

The meeting aims to evaluate efforts and share expertise in implementing goal no. 6 of the sustainable development goals, related to ensuring the supply of water and sanitation for everyone, as well as its sustainable management.

The outcomes of the meeting will help in the preparations for the conference to review progress of half the term, which is set to be held in March 2023.
