The Ukrainian President approves a draft law on military mobilization

Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, approved a draft law reducing the age of military mobilization from 27 years to 25 years. Zelensky said last December that there was a need to mobilize 500,000 additional soldiers. Last week, Ukraine's highest-ranking general reported that the required number of soldiers that Ukraine needs for military mobilization has been "significantly reduced" after a review of available human resources. The Ukrainian Parliament approved the draft law in May 2023, but it did not enter into force because Zelensky did not sign it. Source: National Iraqi News Agency
