Baghdad, The Undersecretary of the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Guidance praised the developed media relations between Iraq and Iran during his visit to the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate. The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate said in a statement, 'The head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, President of the Arab Journalists Union, Muayad Al-Lami, received today, Saturday, Farshad Mehdi Bour, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Guidance in the Islamic Republic of Iran, and his accompanying delegation.' The statement added, "At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate provided a detailed explanation about the nature of the work of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, its media institutions, and its branches in the governorates, which are preparing to celebrate the National Day of the Iraqi Press, stressing that the Syndicate includes in its membership thousands of journalists throughout Iraq and has a daily newspaper distributed throughout Iraq as well as a radio and Iraqi N ational News Agency (NINA), the Syndicate has a project to establish a television channel, indicating that the Syndicate provides services to journalists working in press institutions and is keen to achieve material, economic and media gains for them. The head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate expressed the Syndicate's readiness to cooperate with the Iranian side in the media and cultural fields in a way that serves the interests of the two neighboring countries. For his part, the head of the visiting Iranian delegation expressed his happiness at visiting Iraq and attending the headquarters of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, pointing out the depth of the historical relations between the two countries, which yield positive results for the benefit of the two friendly peoples. He stressed the Islamic Republic's keenness to develop these relations in all fields, praising the media, scientific and professional level reached by the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, which is highly appreciated worldwide.
