Security forces arrested (3) persons accused of smuggling petroleum derivatives and seized their vehicles in Kirkuk Governorate. A statement by the Ministry of Interior stated: The Oil Police Checkpoint Detachment (Kirkuk - Sulaymaniyah), affiliated with the First Brigade, Energy Police, arrested (3) defendants and seized their flat trailer vehicles, all of which were loaded with iron barrels with a capacity of (220) liters, numbering (400) barrels containing an oil product of unknown quantity and quality and without official approvals, the vehicles were seized and the accused were detained in preparation for completing the investigative procedures and presenting them to the competent judiciary.
