The Ministry of Trade participated in the meetings of the special committee to follow up on the implementation of sectoral memoranda of understanding with the Turkish side. The Director General of the Department of Foreign Economic Relations, Riyadh Al-Hashemi, said in a statement: "The meeting discussed the implementation of the memorandum of understanding related to the formation of a joint trade and economic committee with the Turkish side." The Ministry of Trade reviewed the procedures taken to form this committee, including identifying the members of the committee from the Iraqi side and addressing the Turkish side to hold the first meeting of the committee. At the same time, the Ministry affirmed its commitment to enhancing economic and trade cooperation with Turkey, within the framework of efforts aimed at strengthening and developing bilateral relations to serve the interests of the two brotherly countries. The meetings were held in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the participation of representatives of all relevant ministries.
