Turkish intelligence announced the killing of a leader of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq.
A source in the Turkish intelligence said in a press statement today that the leader of the PKK, Jalal Qaya, was responsible for the intelligence of the PKK organization in Iraq for several years, and he was liquidated by a security operation by a group of Turkish intelligence inside the city of Sulaymaniyah.
The Turkish intelligence source stated that the Turkish intelligence had obtained information that Jalal Qaya had been active in Iraq for a long time, and he was responsible for the killing of the Turkish diplomat, "Osman Kose" in the city of Erbil in 2019.
He added: Qaya was leading a network that carried out a number of terrorist operations inside and outside Turkey, where he was collecting intelligence for the Workers Party organization before the organization launched its armed operations against the Turkish army units stationed in northern Iraq, as well as planning operations aimed at detaining Turkish employees.
