The Turkish Intelligence Service announced the killing of 15 Kurdistan Workers' Party militants in security operations carried out in the Hakurk region in northern Iraq. The Turkish Intelligence Service stated in a media circular on Monday that groups of its fighters were following the movements of Kurdistan Workers' Party fighters in the Hakurk region during the current week, and after confirming that they had gathered for the purpose of attacking one of the Turkish army units in the region, they were able to surprise them and kill 15 of them, including a number of leaders. He pointed out that the Turkish forces are tightening their grip on the strongholds of the Workers' Party in northern Iraq, which takes Al-Ta'im Party in the Qandil Mountains in northern Iraq as its stronghold, and is active in many cities, regions and valleys, from which it launches attacks into the Turkish interior.
