Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met in Ankara on Tuesday with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, to discuss the developments in the Israeli-US-Iranian war and issues of energy security. Both ministers shared perspectives on avenues for ending the war as soon as possible and returning to the negotiating table.
According to Qatar News Agency, they likewise addressed the developments in the Russia-Ukraine war, with Fidan reiterating Turkiye's readiness to host a new round of negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv. He noted the risks posed by the ongoing war in the Middle East to countries of the region, as well as to international order.
