Turkiye has signed an agreement with the European Union to join the EU's single market program for 2021-2027.
Turkiye's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Mehmet Kemal Bozay and EU Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs Kerstin Jorna signed the agreement, the EU Affairs said in a statement on Friday.
Bozay said that the EU and Turkiye have a long tradition of partnership in trade, manufacturing, entrepreneurship, and industry fields.
He added that the single market program would develop partnerships between Turkish and European companies and businesspersons. Also, it would serve as a lever for all stakeholders in the Turkish and European economies.
The agreement will enhance the Turkiye-EU cooperation in the single market during 2021-2027.
