Abu dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Media Office said on Monday that two people were injured after debris fell at two locations following the successful interception of airborne objects by air defense systems.
According to Qatar News Agency, the office said the relevant authorities in the emirate of Abu Dhabi responded to two incidents involving falling debris after the successful interception by air defenses. The first incident resulted in a Jordanian national sustaining minor injuries, while the second left an Egyptian national with moderate injuries.
The office urged the public to obtain information only from official sources and to avoid circulating rumors or unverified information.
Earlier, the UAE Ministry of Defense said air defenses were responding to missile and drone threats coming from Iran. Later, authorities in the emirate of Fujairah announced that they had contained a fire that broke out after debris fell following an interception, confirming that no injuries were reported in that incident.
