Two people were killed and three others injured Monday in Israeli shelling targeting the Syrian capital, Damascus. The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) quoted a military source as saying that the Israeli occupation army launched an air aggression targeting a civilian car in the residential neighborhood of Mezzeh in Damascus, adding that the shelling resulted in the killing of two civilians and the injury of three others, in addition to material damage to private property in the area. The Israeli occupation army has been carrying out airstrikes on Syrian territories for years, but their frequency has increased significantly since the start of the aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7.
