Abu dhabi: The United Arab Emirates has announced a temporary and partial closure of its airspace as a precautionary measure amid rapidly escalating security developments in the region. In a statement on Monday, the country's General Civil Aviation Authority said the decision was taken to ensure the safety of flights, aviation crews and the protection of the country's territory.
According to Qatar News Agency, the authority stated that the move followed a comprehensive assessment of security and operational risks and was implemented in coordination with relevant local and international authorities. Officials stressed that the safety of passengers and flight crews remains their top priority, adding that all necessary measures would continue to be taken to maintain the highest standards of aviation safety.
