Ukraine Claims Successful Interception of 77 Drones Amid Intensified Russian Offensive

Doha: Ukraine Air Force announced this morning that Russia launched a large-scale overnight attack across multiple regions of the country, deploying 183 drones and two ballistic missiles.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ukrainian military stated that air defense systems successfully shot down 77 Russian drones, while 73 others crashed without causing any damage.

This escalation comes amid a continued exchange of aerial attacks between Moscow and Kyiv, which has defined the conflict since it began in February 2022.

Kyiv accused Russian forces of increasingly relying on drones to target civilian infrastructure, while Moscow insists its strikes are aimed solely at what it calls legitimate military targets.
