Ukrainian Air Force announced Thursday that its air defense systems destroyed 21, out of 22 drones, launched by Russia over six regions in northern and central Ukraine. Ukrainian news agency (Ukrinform) quoted Ukraine's Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Mykola Oleschuk as saying that Russia launched, last night, 22 drones from the Kursk region, and 21 of them were shot down in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, and Poltavaregions. Since the outbreak of the military operation in Ukraine in 2022, conflicting reports have emerged regarding the extent of losses suffered by both sides of the conflict. Each side claims to have inflicted severe losses on the other, but it has been difficult to independently verify the accuracy of this information due to the ongoing fighting.
