New York - Ma'an - UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said that 150,000 people were displaced from Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip in just one day. "All Israeli evacuation orders are turning people's lives upside down," Dujarric said at a press conference on Tuesday. He stressed that the "evacuation orders" issued by the Israeli occupation army at very short notice by sending leaflets before the attack "increase the risks to people's lives." Dujarric said that 150,000 people were forced to flee Khan Yunis on Monday alone. He pointed out that "people were forced to flee without taking anything with them," indicating the lack of infrastructure in the areas to which the displaced headed. Yesterday, the Israeli occupation issued orders to the citizens in the eastern neighborhoods of Khan Yunis to "immediately evacuate" and head towards the newly created "humanitarian zone" in Al-Mawasi, west of the city.
