Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, held a meeting in Madrid with Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the ministerial coordination meeting discussing the situation in Gaza. The discussions focused on the relations and strategic partnership between Bahrain and the European Union, and explored ways to enhance cooperation to serve common interests. Regional and international efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, protect civilians, facilitate humanitarian aid, and pursue prospects for a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East were also addressed.
