Gaza - Together - The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) confirmed on Tuesday that the distribution of food aid in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, had stopped. The UN agency posted on the 'X' platform that 'the distribution of food supplies in Rafah is currently suspended due to a lack of supplies and insecurity.' The UNRWA statement continued, "There are only 7 health centers out of 24 UNRWA centers operating. In the past ten days, it has not received any medical supplies due to the closure of the Rafah and Kerem Shalom crossings." It is noteworthy that on May 6, the Israeli army ordered the Palestinian residents of the areas east of the city of Rafah, located in the south of the Gaza Strip, to leave the areas in which they live and head to the Al-Mawasi area, west of the cities of Rafah and Khan Yunis.
