Manama, The University of Bahrain (UoB) has won the 2024 Catalyst Award in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, presented by Anthology, a global provider of e-learning systems. Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al Ansari, President of UoB, underscored that this award represents the university's role in utilising technology to provide a comprehensive and innovative educational experience. Dr. Al Ansari highlighted that the university was chosen among 35 winners in nine award categories for delivering an exceptional educational experience and fostering innovation and excellence in education, marking an extraordinary achievement that enhances its global standing. He said that the award represents UoB's role in utilising technology to enhance education through the integration of modern and advanced tools within e-learning systems. These tools aim to improve the learning experience by making it more interactive and inclusive, as well as encourage educational institutions to adopt comprehensive and innovative teaching p ractices. The programme received 108 applicants from educational institutions spanning 19 nations worldwide, which included nine different categories. These categories include Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness; Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging; Institutional Advancement; Leading Change; Student Experience; Student Success; Teaching and Learning; and Training and Professional Development.
