The US Central Command announced today, Wednesday, that it destroyed two boats belonging to the Ansar Allah Houthi movement in the Red Sea during the past 24 hours. It said in a statement, "During the past 24 hours, US Central Command forces succeeded in destroying two Iranian-backed Houthi ships in the Red Sea." It added that "these ships posed a clear and imminent threat to US forces, coalition forces and commercial ships in the region," considering that "this reckless and dangerous behavior by the Iranian-backed Houthis continues to threaten regional stability and security." This comes after two maritime incidents were recorded off the coast of Yemen within a few hours yesterday, Tuesday, where explosions occurred and several suspicious naval boats were seen near two commercial ships in the Red Sea off the coast of Yemen, without any injuries or damage reported.
