Tashkent, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met Monday with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, who is currently visiting Uzbekistan. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed bilateral relations in addition to exchanging views on regional issues of common interest. The two presidents affirmed their countries' adherence to a global system governed by international law, and the continuation of security cooperation. They also stressed the necessity of cooperation in the field of advanced and digital technology and strengthening direct trade and economic relations between the two countries.
