WhatsApp is developing a feature that will allow users in the future to create account usernames to benefit from the application's features without the need to share phone numbers. This feature will thus enable users to search, add, and contact one another, while maintaining their privacy through concealing their mobile number. Despite this to be new feature, users will still be able to connect using their registered phone numbers. Instant messaging platform, WhatsApp, has developed a new feature, which aims to enhance account security settings and protect users' privacy. This feature allows users to prevent people from taking screenshots of profile pictures and rolls out passkeys. In addition to allowing users to control who uses their avatar in stickers and more, the new feature helps users quickly review and improve their security settings, providing additional layers of protection for their accounts, while simplifying the process of managing account security. Through this feature, users will be able to access and configure various important security options easily from one screen, set up a passkey to unlock the app and log in to WhatsApp using biometric data. In addition, the feature allows users to add an email to their accounts, making it easier to recover the account in case the user is unable to receive verification codes via SMS. It is expected that this feature will be available in the latest experimental update of the WhatsApp application on the Android system, which is now available on the Play Store.
