The Conference Palace Department organized, today, Monday, a conference and exhibition (Climate Culture.. Strategy and Challenges), in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, the Department of Non-Governmental Organizations, the Iraqi Media Network, the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, and the Department of Public Arts, in the presence of members of parliamentary committees and relevant governmental and sectoral bodies. The representative of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Muhammad Salam, presented a special working paper prepared by the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, which includes proposals and recommendations to enhance the role of the media in raising awareness and educating societal segments about the climate change file, and strengthening cooperation with governmental institutions to highlight the challenges facing Iraq and the importance of international and UN support to reduce those effects.
